Stocktakes Online — Barcode Datalink

You pay for the count, not for the year.

Everything on this page is the software on its own. Scanners are not included — count on Zebra devices you already own, or hire ours from the six TC8000s.

Most businesses stocktake once or twice a year, so that is how this is sold: one licence, one counting event. No subscription ticking over for eleven months while nobody is counting.

Software only · per stocktake · bring your own or hire

Priced on how many scanners count at once.

That is the number that decides how fast your count goes, so it is the number you buy. Operators are unlimited — put as many names on the system as you like, and sites cost nothing.

$66 per scanner, inc GST. From ten scanners, $55. Minimum $110.
Software only. Add hire if you need the scanners as well, or use your own Android scanners.

Licence Sites Scanners at once Ex GST Inc GST
One scanner Any1 $100.00 $110
A small team Any5 $300.00 $330
Ten, where the rate drops Any10 $500.00 $550
A big count Any20 $1,000.00 $1,100

Those are examples of the rule, not a menu — any number of scanners has a price. Seven is $462 and eight is $528. Nine is $550 — the same as ten, because at ten the rate drops to $55 and applies to all of them, and you should never pay more for fewer scanners.

INCLUDED

All ten reports

Totals by bin, site, company and operator; unscanned parts and bins; bins marked empty; the raw counts in the order they happened. On screen, printed, or CSV.

INCLUDED

As many operators as you like

Every counter gets their own login, so every figure is attributable. You are paying for scanners counting at once, not for names on a list.

INCLUDED

Your data loaded

Parts and bin locations imported from a clean file, and the portal set up ready to count. If the file needs work, we quote that before starting.

A licence runs for seven days. Most counts are done in a day or two — people need to get back to picking and shipping. Seven days is the outside of it, and the clock starts when you activate the stocktake, not when you pay, so you can load your data and set everything up in the days beforehand without spending any of it. If a count runs long, ring us and we will extend it.

Twenty scanners across two sites means twenty in total, not twenty at each. Which twenty is up to you — own thirty devices if you like, and the first twenty to scan are the ones that count.

What else costs money

The honest list.

Software is rarely the whole bill. These are the things that usually sit alongside it, quoted separately so you can see what you are paying for.

HARDWARE

Scanners, bought or hired

Buy them if you count often, hire them if you count once a year. We keep six for hire at $110 a day each, or $440 for four days up to seven — two charging cradles, six spare batteries and an access point included. What hiring involves.

LABELS

Bin locations and product labels

Quoted from your location list. A one-off cost for a first count, and the single biggest thing that determines whether the count goes smoothly.

SETUP

Getting your data in

If your parts and locations are already in a clean file, loading them is included. If they need work — and they often do — we will quote that plainly before starting.

Tell us what you are counting.

Number of sites, rough number of part numbers, how many of your staff will be counting and when. We will come back with a fixed number, including hardware and labels if you need them.
